Beginning a teaching career: Contradictions and alienations

چکیده
The teacher attrition at the beginning of teaching career has aggravated shortage teachers in some countries. We carried out a case study novice physics working two Brazilian schools. Based on Cultural-Historical Activity Theory, we analyzed contradictions that emerged and how they transformed his activity. analysis indicates central contradiction, which from capitalist modes educational work are structured, determined an increasing teacher's alienation, reinforcing fear losing job.
